We are an independent insurance agency. We help you compare and place property, casualty and personal insurance policies with admitted carriers we are appointed with, and we service those policies. We are not an insurance carrier or underwriter; the carrier — not the agency — issues the policy and pays claims under its own contract terms.
A quote is an estimate based on the information you provide. Final premium, terms and eligibility are set by the carrier's underwriting after review, and coverage is not in force until the carrier has bound it and you have paid any required premium. Verbal statements do not bind coverage.
We do not charge you an agency fee for a standard quote or placement; we are compensated by carrier commission. Premiums are paid to the carrier or its finance company, not held by the agency as revenue. Any charge, coverage and effective date is confirmed in writing before it takes effect.
